Santo Domingo, January 28, 2026. Metaldom announced the installation of a 4 MW photovoltaic plant in collaboration with Soventix Energy, with the aim of strengthening its transition to clean energy sources and ensuring more efficient and sustainable operations. With this project, the total renewable generation capacity through solar panels will reach 5.5 MW installed, thus boosting energy efficiency in its operations.

Thanks to this new solar capacity, the company will avoid the emission of more than 5,400 tons of CO₂ per year, which will translate into an estimated savings of around $1 million annually in energy costs.

The photovoltaic plant will be installed in five industrial buildings, reaffirming the corporate commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. This initiative is part of the CO₂ emissions reduction roadmap, which combines the acquisition of renewable energy with self-generation within the company's own operations.

With this step, Metaldom is moving closer to total independence from fossil fuels, integrating sustainability into its operational practices and contributing to strengthening the country's energy and industrial resilience.
