Certifications

Laboratories

We have a laboratory that tests and ensures the quality of our products. The external and official body ECA (Costa Rican Accreditation Entity) under the ISO / IEC 17025 standard formally recognizes the technical competence of the Metaldom laboratory.

We offer the service of tensile and bending tests on Bars, Rods and Specimens in accordance with ASTM A370 AND ASTM E290 quality standards.

Metaldom Quality

At Metaldom, we set rigorous production standards and inspection levels for each product family, aligned with our Quality Policy. Each new product is audited to validate compliance with these guidelines.

The processes are designed according to specific standards, starting with technical protocols for the procurement of raw materials, followed by inspections at origin and in the plant. Subsequently, audits and internal controls are applied to ensure quality at each stage.

Our source quality methodology strengthens processes and integrates operator-focused management (GFO), supporting the seven quality rules. We have a quality structure that supports operations, supplies, and customer service, as well as a technical area to attend to claims and requests, both nationally and internationally.

At the customer's request, , we provide certification of origin for components and information on the chemicals used, reinforcing our transparency and commitment to service, safety, and trust.

Plants

  • Rolling Plant

    Our rolling mill has an installed capacity for production of 780,000 T/A. Through an innovative hot rolling process, the billets or ingots are reduced by means of two cylinders that rotate in opposite directions.

    These bars reach a temperature of 1200 °C and are handled under national and international quality norms and standards.

    With this process Metaldom produces Profiles or Tubes, Smooth and Corrugated Bars.

    Wire Plant

    The Plant for the manufacture of wire products has the capacity to produce a diverse range of steel products that provides construction solutions to the entire national and regional market.

    In this plant we produce Nails, Electrodes, Cyclonic Mesh and Electrowelded Mesh under the standards established by institutions such as INTE, AWS, ASTM y NORDOM.

    Plan Plant

    The Flat Products Plant is Metaldom's most recent and modern investment in its last 5 years. Inaugurated in 2021, it consists of 45 employees in the plant, with an installed capacity of 9,500 tons per month, which include two cutting-edge lines for longitudinal cutting and tubes (profiles) in order to obtain the desired leap in quality and productivity. Other products are also produced such as Zinc and Aluzinc roofs, Tolas and Purlins.

Cut and Figured

Cutting and Figuring, is an area intended for cutting and bending rods in rolls and straight, with specific dimensions to the customer's requirements.

This area has modern operational management software, which serves as a link between what the customer needs and what is later delivered. It has modules for the design of the figured abutments, operational planning, manufacturing and dispatch to our customers, centralizing the entire operation in the same place.

We are deeply interested in contributing to the development of our suppliers, as we consider it to be one of the best practices for organizations like Metaldom, which require a specialized, competitive supplier aligned with our ambitious growth plans. In this way, we managed to consolidate a well-integrated supply chain that was prepared for the execution of new projects.
